HyperScope MiniAug offers a command-driven user interface designed for speed and efficiency, and for easy learning curve from beginner to expert. A MiniAug command is typically an action Verb like "Delete", plus a Noun naming the object you are acting on like "Word", while the system adds short prompts to guide you along. For most command words, you need only enter the first letter. So for example, you type "dw" the system fills out "Delete Word" and prompts you to select the word to be deleted, you click anywhere in the word to select it, and OK to go. All you had to do was "dw" click OK, while it fills out as you go for visual feedback. When multiple command word choices start with the same letter, like Copy and Create, for the more commonly used Copy you type a "c" and for Create you type "cr". .

PROMPTS in a command tell you what action to take next:
CE CE 2023-12-31 - 17:54 UTC
"OK:" is prompting you to give the OK with a single mouse click "T:" to Typein user input "M:" to select or "Mark" something by pointing with a single click "V:" to enter Viewspec code(s) (see <8>) "A: to enter an Address like a purple number (see <7>) Prompts with a slash "/" are multiple choice, for example "M/T:" shows you can either Mark or Type your input.

ADDRESSING
CE CE 2024-01-04 - 19:41 UTC
Basic Addressing
BMC BMC 2023-12-22 - 06:54 UTC
The "A:" prompt is for "Address" -- you can address a file or any item in a file, using the following optional elements, in this order:
BMC BMC 2023-12-22 - 06:55 UTC
1. Optional filename followed by a comma
CE CE 2023-12-31 - 15:59 UTC
2. Optional Name or Number (choose one)
CE CE 2023-12-31 - 15:59 UTC
"Purple Number"
CE CE 2023-12-31 - 15:59 UTC
- Location Numbers like 2c1 are hierarchical, change dynamically
CE CE 2023-12-31 - 15:59 UTC
- Statement Identifiers or "SIDs" never change
CE CE 2023-12-31 - 15:59 UTC
Name
CE CE 2023-12-31 - 15:59 UTC
- Anchor names assigned by the author using html id= or name=
CE CE 2023-12-31 - 16:00 UTC
- Names assigned by the system according to which "name delimiters" are in effect - for example if name delimiters are "(" and ")" then any statement beginning with a word in parens is addressible by that word. Use the Set Name (delimiters) command to control these settings, and Show Name (delimiters) to see what they are set to.

BMC BMC 2023-12-22 - 07:08 UTC
3. Optional "Relative Addressing"
BMC BMC 2023-12-22 - 07:11 UTC
You can define a path for the system to follow without knowing the exact address, starting with a period "." followed by lowercase equivalents of any of the above Jump commands <02> -- Origin, Link, Up, Down, Next, Backward, etc. For example, jump to the section named Todo and in the Next statement follow the first link you find there - Jump Link todo.nl

LINKS
CE CE 2024-01-04 - 20:42 UTC
Any Address you can type in a Jump Link command, you can put in a link to click on for future Jump Link commands - for example:
CE CE 2024-01-04 - 20:47 UTC
<8>
CE CE 2024-01-04 - 20:43 UTC
CE CE 2024-01-04 - 20:47 UTC
CE CE 2024-01-04 - 20:52 UTC
You can also add Viewspecs in a link, after any address elements, starting with a colon ":"
CE CE 2024-01-04 - 20:52 UTC
CE CE 2024-01-04 - 20:53 UTC
